Terms of use
Last updated October 22, 2026
The rules for using SpendSense, in plain language.
1. The service
SpendSense is a budgeting tool operated by Mohamad Naji, Montréal, Québec, Canada. By creating an account you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.
2. Early access
SpendSense is free during early access. Features may change, be added or be removed. If we introduce paid plans, we’ll tell you in advance, and nothing will be charged without your explicit agreement.
3. Not financial advice
SpendSense organizes the numbers you enter and shows calculations based on them. It does not give financial, tax, investment or legal advice, and it isn’t a bank: it doesn’t hold or move money. The figures are only as accurate as what you enter. For decisions that matter, check with a qualified professional.
4. Your account
- You must be 18 or older and give accurate sign-up information.
- Keep your password private. You’re responsible for what happens in your account.
- You may invite people to your household. Only invite people you want to see your household budget.
- Tell us right away at support@spendsense.app if you think someone else has accessed your account.
5. Acceptable use
Don’t:
- try to access other people’s data or accounts, or probe, scan or overload the service;
- use automated tools to create accounts or scrape the service;
- use the service for anything illegal.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
6. Your data
What you enter is yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to run the service for you, as the privacy policy describes. You can download it or delete your account at any time from Account → Security.
7. Availability
We work to keep SpendSense available and your data safe, and we back it up daily, but we can’t promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Keep your own records of anything important.
8. Liability
The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect losses, or for decisions made using the app’s figures. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can’t be waived, including Québec’s Consumer Protection Act.
9. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time. We may close an account that breaks these terms, or end the service with at least 30 days’ notice, giving you time to download your data.
10. Changes and governing law
If we change these terms, we’ll update the date at the top and tell you before significant changes take effect. These terms are governed by the laws of Québec and of Canada applicable there. They are available in French and English, and both versions have the same value.
